The Loon Talk Cottage is an oasis in itself! We all had a wonderful holiday during our week stay in August; we found the cottage to have all the amenities that one would want - for those who have a larger family, it's just perfect! We loved the location and amenities of Loon Talk Cottage, spectacular views, unbelievable fishing and good swimming. We would recommend the location to anyone looking for an exceptional getaway only 90 minutes from the GTA. I also need to mention the outdoor shower - it was a huge hit with young and old alike - what a great way to start or end another day in paradise. Richard Efting

Hi Ken, Thank you very much for another great week up at your beautiful cottage. As you know, this is the second summer in a row for our family and the kids loved it even more this year as it was more familiar to them. Your cottage is beautifully maintained which made it easy for us to care for it and treat it like our own. The kids loved tubing and the fishing was even better this year. We had some great nights out around the fire roasting marshmallows and making Smores as the sun set. But, I've got to say the best part for me was the outdoor shower; I was out there one morning in the pouring rain and Chris and the kids thought I was crazy, but this is the most amazing feature to add to the already amazing experience of spending time up at your cottage. Thanks again Ken for another memorable week, we hope to see you again in the years to come.

Loon Talk was a wonderful place to enjoy 2 weeks of summer in the Kawarthas. All our "cottage-owner" friends who visited were envious of our 'rental'. The cottage is immaculate and very user-friendly, with everything from a dishwasher, giant cutting block, fabulous outdoor shower, satellite TV, BBQ and large deck. The vews from the deck, whether watching the sailboat races, the sunsets or just the general activity on the lake were spectacular. One of the nicest things about the cottage is that the water is easily accessible; you don't have to walk down hills or stairs to get to it; just walk across the flat lawn and you're at the dock...makes it very easy to refill drinks and snacks. Shopping is close by, and there are so many things to do in the Kawarthas if you happen to get a rainy day. Lynda Langdon

We spent a fabulous late summer week at Loon Talk Cottage. We brought two children – 19 & 14 years. It was relaxing, quiet and we had tons of fun. The kitchen is very well equipped with lots of counter space and easy to cook in. You can watch the kids outside while you are making them dinner! Beds are comfy, the living room a great spot to hang in if it rains or at night to catch a movie. The lake was great – we boated around to various restaurants, marinas and did some fishing. The front yard is fantastic – we brought up a badminton net and had many tournaments. We invited up some friends and had a great night roasting marshmallows by the outdoor fire and being really silly. We had a fantastic week on Clear Lake and would recommend this well cared for cottage. Lesley Skelly

If you are looking for the perfect summer family vacation, give Ken a call. We have rented from Ken for many years and a trip to Clear Lake is one of the highlights of our summer. The cottage layout and grounds are excellent and very well maintained. The cottage has all the necessary comforts inside and out, even including an additional outside shower ( you will be amazed at how handy this is). The lake system and fishing are all excellent. If you are a boater, there are many scenic trips to take. Fun for the kids includes jumping from a large rock in the lake and body surfing in the nearby rapids. Our family has had a lot of fun at Clear Lake, I'm sure you will too. I highly recommend Ken and his cottage on Clear Lake. Mike Salveta

We were very impressed with this well equipped clean cottage overlooking the lake. Our family enjoyed the great swimming, beautiful sunsets and roasting marshmallows by the water. We would defiantly love to rent this property again! Bev & Monty Messaros

This was definitely the best cottage we have rented! Easy to get too, very clean and has everything you need. The outdoor shower is amazing! The fire pit is well located by the lake and the beautiful adirondack chairs are very comfortable. Even if it rains it's a great place to be. The large front windows provide a wonderful view, with a great open feeling. I hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we did. Nancy from Port Hope.

We have stayed at the Loon Talk Cottage on Clear Lake a number of times, and always had a terrific time. The cottage is truly a little piece of paradise. Hi Ken, We really enjoyed our stay. We chose to stay at Loon Talk Cottage for a family getaway and couldn't have been happier with the cottage. The waterfront location, great view, fire pit, boat and nearby amenities provided entertainment for the whole family. We especially enjoyed exploring the lake and boating to the lakefront restaurant.
